Finally! Finally, the autumn semester is here! We hope your summer classifies as fantastic, and that you have had the luxury of sloooowly easing in to work again. At Research Services, it’s been more of a massively forceful and quite impressive liftoff (think spacecraft launch-vehicle ignition). This has been especially true for us tasked to support Lund University’s applications to establish new Strategic research areas. The call opened on 4 September, but preparations and planning have been ongoing since March, and now the application machinery is set in motion: exciting! Many of us are currently kept busy keeping up with developments on the EU-front: As always, below you will find the latest information on Horizon Europe. Meanwhile, in Brussels the Commission is planning for the future and has put forward the legislative proposals for the next framework programme 2028-2034. Lund University follows these developments closely and has responded to the national consultation on the framework programme by the Ministry of Education and Research. Happy September! Research Services
