Knowledge for sustainable development - Lund University Research Conference 2025Save the date! On 9 December 2025, Lund University invites to its 5th official research conference on sustainable development, in collaboration with University of Cambridge. The conference is aimed at all researchers who want to increase their knowledge about the challenges that lie ahead, learn how their research can contribute to change, and strengthen their contacts with researchers from other disciplines. The Pufendorf IAS is tasked with stimulating interdisciplinary research at Lund University, and provides researchers from different disciplines and faculties with the opportunity to work together for 9 months on a research problem.
The Institute welcomes theme applications concerning new research questions that are at an early stage. These ideas are generally not yet mature enough for other forms of research funding. Advanced WP drafts 2026-2027The European Commission has uploaded the final draft versions of the work programmes for 2026-2027. This is a useful way to find upcoming calls during the remainder of the framework programme. Some final changes may still occur when the definitive versions will be adopted later during autumn. First deadlines in 2026 are expected in March 2026. | EIC Advanced Innovation Challenges
The European Innovation Council will in 2026 pilot so called Advanced Innovation Challenges. The EIC-AICs will drive breakthrough innovation through staged-based support. The AICs aim to support high-risk, demand-driven deep tech innovation with transformative potential especially in areas where there is extensive research but lack of commercial uptake. The two AICs to be piloted first are: - Accelerating Physical AI: Embodied Intelligence for the Next Frontier of AI-Powered Robotics
- Translating Disruptive New Approach Methodologies (NAMs) into Practice
Funding available in stage 1 is up to €300,000 lump sum for up to nine months to prepare and benchmark breakthrough solutions and explore their viability. The call will open on 15 November 2025, with a stage 1 deadline set for 1 March 2026.
